By Rail: The nearest Rail-head to Gangtok is at Siliguri, located at a distance of about 114 km away from it. Local taxis and rented jeeps can easily be got hold of from the station to reach the main city of Gangtok.

By Bus: Gangtok is well connected to all the major cities of Sikkim as well as the neighboring states with regular bus service. Private bus operates regularly between Siliguri(114 km) and Bagdogra(124 km) to Gangtok.
