By Air: : Allahabad Airport, a military cum public airport happens to be the nearest domestic airfield that is located at the approximate distance of 119 kilometers from Chitrakoot. Owned by the Indian Air Force and operated by it in collaboration with the Airports Authority of India, the Allahabad Airport provides connectivity with New Delhi. The flight to New Delhi is operated by Air India Regional. Khajuraho Airport situated about 147 kilometers away from Chitrakoot is the next major domestic airport from where the flights operated by Air India and Jet Airways ply to Delhi and Varanasi. To reach either Allahabad or Khajuraho from Chitrakoot tourists can avail state transport buses or rent a private cab.

By Rail: Chitrakoot Dham Karvi Railway Station (CKTD), also referred to as ‘Chitrakoot Railway Station’ is positioned just 10 kilometers away from the main city Chitrakoot. This railway station falls on the Jhansi Manikpur main line and enjoys an efficient connectivity to all the major Indian cities via Jhansi by rail route.
