How To Reach Shirdi

By Air: Aurangabad Airport, also known as ‘Chikkalthana Airport’, which is situated about 130 kilometers away is the closest Major airport from Shirdi. Aurangabad airport provides a good connectivity with Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Air India, Air India Regional, JetLite, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, and Kingfisher Airlines etc are some of the airlines that cater services at Aurangabad Airport. Pune International Airport is located nearly 157 km from Shirdi. Planes from Pune fly to major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Nagpur, Indore, Goa, Jammu, Jaipur and also to Dubai and Frankfurt.
Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji International airport, which provides an extremely good connectivity with almost all chief cities of India and many important foreign destinations, is situated about 270 kilometers from Shirdi. From Mumbai or Pune or Aurangabad, one can either hire a cab or take a state transport bus to Shirdi. Maharashtra State Government has declared that Shirdi will have its own airport by 2012. The work is going on at a considerably high speed and tourists are looking forward to getting a more convenient connectivity to the abode of Sai Baba.
By Rail: Kopergaon Railway Station, situated about 16 kilometers from Shirdi is the nearest train station from here. Kopergaon Railway base is an important railway Station on Daund-Manmad section of central Railway. Mangala Lakshadweep Exp, CSTM Howrah Spl, Gitanjali Exp, Lashkar Express , Shirdi Express, Shirdi Fast Pas, Janshatabdi Spl, Ahmadabad Exp, Karnataka Exp, Pune Patna Exp, Pune Nanded Exp etc trains stop at Kopergaon. Manmad Railway Station, located about 52 km away is another important railway station near Shirdi, which provides better connectivity than Kopergaon. Ahmedabad Exp, Karnataka Exp, Devagiri Exp, Ajanta Express, Punjab Mail, Howrah Mail, Pa Bilaspur Exp, Pune Nagpur Exp are some of the major trains that can be boarded at Manmad Railway Station.
Both from Kopergaon and Manmad railway station, cabs, taxis and state transport buses are available for Shirdi. The temple complex also houses a computerized Railway Ticket Booking Center from where you can book a ticket for any destination.

By Road: Shirdi lies on Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway and it is 75 kilometers from Nasik, 130 km from Aurangabad, 157 km from Pune and 250 kilometers from Mumbai. A bus to Shirdi is easily available from almost all major cities of Maharashtra. Maharashtra State Transport buses ply regularly from Nashik, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Pune, Kopargaon etc. to Shirdi. Even a bi-weekly round trip bus service between Shirdi and Mumbai is provided by MTDC. Private A/C and non A/C deluxe buses are also available from several major cities of Maharashtra. Bus fare ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 400 per head, depending upon the type of bus, seat and destination selected.
