By Air: Shimla Airport, located at Jubbarhatti approximately 22 kilometers from Shimla provides this ‘Jewel of the Himalayas’ with air connectivity to rest of the country. Jagson Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines are the two major airlines that cater services at the Jubbarhatti Airport. The flights from Shimla regularly ply to Delhi and Kullu. For the better air connectivity, you can use the Chandigarh Domestic Airport located about 120 kilometers from Shimla. To reach Shimla from Jubbarhatti Airport and vice versa, you can rent a taxi that would cost you around 450 INR.

By Rail: The historical Kalka-Shimla Railway Route, one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operational in India links Shimla with Kalka.
