By Air: : Jolly Grant Airport, located about 60 kilometers from Mussoorie is the nearest airbase from here. This domestic airport nestled at the footings of the Himalayas also serves other destinations of Northern India namely Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar. The major airlines that cater their services at this airport include Air India, Kingfisher Airlines and Jet Airways. This airport is well connected with the capital of the country New Delhi via air. Moreover, other major cities of the country including Mumbai can be reached from Mussoorie via connecting flights. To reach the airport from Mussoorie or vice versa, you will have to avail a rented taxi which will charge approximately 1500 INR.

By Rail: As Mussoorie doesn’t have a railway station of its own one can use the Dehradun Railway Terminus located nearly 34 kilometers from here to reach Mussoorie via rail rout. Dehradun Railway Station is the major railway terminus of the state Uttarakhand. The trains operational from this station include Shatabdi Express, Jan Shatabdi Express, Mussoorie Express, Upasana Express, Doon Express, Chennai-Dehradun Express, Nizamuddin Dehradun AC Express, Amritsar-Dehradun Express, Sangam Express, Bandra-Dehradun Express and many more. Chief destinations accessed from Dehradun Railway Station include New Delhi, Howrah, Lucknow, Varanasi, Chennai, Amritsar, Allahabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ujjain and so on. To reach Mussoorie you can either rent a cab or avail the state transport bus.

By Road: Mussoorie is connected by a well laid down road network that links the city to the state capital Dehradun and eventually to the entire state. An excellent bus service is established between Mussoorie and Dehradun where both Uttarakhand State Transport Buses as well as private luxury buses cater service. Apart from the buses, one can also opt for the easily available and more comfortable cabs that would charge around 600 Rs or 100 Rs per seat to reach Dehradun from Mussoorie. Mussoorie is just 34 km from Dehradun, 77 km from Rishikesh, 80 km from Haridwar, 100 km from Saharanpur, 104 km from Roorkee, 261 km from New Delhi, 299 km from Nainital, 342 km from Almora, and 1669 km from Mumbai.
