How To Reach Mumbai

By Air: There are two airports in Mumbai- the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at Sahar and the domestic Terminal at Santacruz. The domestic terminal links Mumbai to every important city in the country. The international Airbase connects Mumbai to many of the major cities abroad like Singapore, New York, Bangkok, Hong Kong and to other gulf cities.
By Rail: Mumbai houses three major types of Railways- Western, Konkan and Central. It has five major Railheads- Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (VT), Mumbai Central, Dadar, Kurla Terminus and Bandra Terminus and Churchgate.
By Road: Mumbai is the birthplace of a number of National Highways like 3,4,6,8,9 and 17. In the recent times a fast-track has been inaugurated that connects Mumbai to Pune thus brining down the travel time from 4hrs to 2hrs. A number of State Transport and privately owned luxury and economy buses operate to and from Mumbai connecting it to the other cities within and outside Maharashtra. The main Bus terminal is situated at Mumbai Central.
