By Air: The nearest domestic airport to Lonavla is located at Pune, about 63km from the town. It is well connected to most of the important cities of India, particularly Mumbai. The International Tourists would have to take a flight to the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport at Mumbai which is at a distance of 100km from Lonavla. Taxis might charge a fare of about Rs1000 or Rs2000 from Pune and Mumbai respectively.

By Rail: Lonavla is mainly connected to the rest of the country via the rail services to Mumbai and Pune. Trains also ply regularly between Lonavla and these two industrial hubs

By Road: State owned buses ply frequently to and from the other cities of Maharashtra as well as the neighboring states. Buses are also arranged by the private tour operators who charge about Rs4 per kilometer. However, these are mostly AC deluxe Buses and are more comfortable to ride in.
