The climate of Jammu terrain differs according to its altitude. Jammu city and the neighboring region experience the climate similar to the Punjab province which is characterized with hot summers, mildly cold winters and rainy monsoon. Jammu City itself doesn’t receive any snowfall while the surrounding mountainous territory remains snow carpeted during the winter season. The snow clad mountain ranges offer the most breathtaking prospects during winter.

Autumn ranges from late September to early November when Jammu proliferating with attractive flowers looks exceptionally appealing.
