Hubli Airport is situated about 143 kilometers from Hampi. Kingfisher Airlines and Kingfisher Xpress ply from Hubli to several major destinations including Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Nearest international airport from Hampi is Bangalore International Airport which is located nearly 350 km from here. This airport is connected to all the major cities of the country as well as to some foreign destinations via air. To reach Hampi from Bangalore, one can either hire a cab that would cost about 6000 INR or board a state transport bus which is an easily available and cheap mode of transport.

By Rail: Hopset Junction, placed about 13 kilometers from Hampi is the closest train station from here. This railway station provides a very good connectivity with important cities such as Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Goa, Hyderabad and many more. The trains that ply from here are Hampi Express, Amaravathi Express, Kacheguda Express and Rayalaseema Express. Overnight trains to Bangalore, Goa and Hyderabad offer the tourists a very comfortable as well as cheaper Odyssey. To reach Hampi from Hopset Junction you can either take auto which will charge around 100 Rs or you can walk down to the bus station and board the local bus to Hampi.

By Road: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus stand is situated at Hopset. Daily buses ply from Hopset to various destinations in and around Karnataka like Bangalore, Mysore, Gokarna, and many more. You can easily reach Hampi from Hopset via local bus or auto rickshaw. Other than the regular state transport buses, AC coaches and many private buses are also available for Hopset from various destinations of Karnataka and Goa. Hampi is about 13 km from Hopset, 143 km from Hubli and 350 km from the state capital Bangalore.
