By Air: : Gaggal Airport, also known as Dharamshala Airport is situated about 15km from the heart of the city. It has regular flights to and from Delhi. The international Tourists have to avail the Delhi International Airport, located about 520km away from Dharamshala.

By Rail: The nearest Railhead to Dharamshala is at Kangra Mandir, which is at a distance of 22km from the city. However, the main Railway Junction is located in Pathankot, about 85km away from the city. It is well connected with most of the important cities of the country.

By Bus: Dharamshala is well connected with most of the places in Northern India like Delhi, Manali and Dehradun via an excellent Bus route. Though most of these reserved or unreserved HSRTC buses ply to and from Lower Dharamshala, buses to Delhi or Pathankot go all the way up to the main square of McLeod Ganj.
