How To Reach Calicut

By Air: : The nearst Airport to Calicut is the Karipur International Airport, almost 23 km from the town of Calicut. It is well connected to all the important cities of the Country and abroad particularly with the Gulf countries.
By Rail: The Calicut Railway Station is well linked with most of the other cities in the country. For instance regular trains for Calicut ply from Goa, Pune, Chennai and other major cities of the country.
By Road: Several KSRTC buses of the Kerela State Transport ply regularly between Calicut and the other cities of Kerela as well as the neighboring states. Luxury buses with AC facilities are also available from Mumbai, Coimbatore, Mangalore and Mumbai.

Local transportation

Bus: : The primary bus operators in the city of Calicut are the private operators, however, state run buses also ply within the main corporation and the Minucipal Corporation lines. The major routes in the city are Kakkodi, Feroke, Elathur, Medical College and Beypore. There are three bus stands in the city and the local buses start from the Palayam Bus Stand.
Taxi: Taxis are the easiest mode of transport from the Karipur International Airport to the town of Calicut. The rates are between Rs.400 – Rs.450. Many of the taxis run on meter but mostly they have a fixed rate for going to fixed places in the city.
Auto Rickshaw: For the tourists arriving by train the Autorickshaws are the best mode of transport. They are frequent and widely available too. Most of them have fixed rates. Some of them run on meter too.
Car: There are many rental companies who give out cars on hire with drivers or self drive, as per demand.
