Bandhavgarh Safari

Two safari rides available in the Bandhavgarh National Park include 1) Jeep Safari and 2) Elephant Safari
Jeep Safari: The Jeep Safari is carried out in the open 4WD Gypsy and each jeep carries 6 passengers at a time. The jeep is permitted entrance inside the park only if it is accompanied by a forest department guide or a naturalist. Only limited numbers of jeeps are allowed inside each zone per shift so the tourists are recommended to book their safari well in advance.

Elephant Safari: Tourists generally prefer the elephant safari over the jeep safari as the elephant carries them inside the internal recesses of the jungle and there are more chances of spotting a tiger if you are riding an elephant. Plus, an elephant ride grants you a safer and more enjoyable jungle tour. A special elephant safari can be arranged by the park management after getting an order from the Field Director of Bandhavgarh in writing. It is compulsory to take a guide along for the elephant safari too.
